::The Orthodox church was built near 1734, rebuilt from 1851 to 1853 and renewed (high bell tower built the bells) in 1902 by architects and contractors from Budapest. The Orthodox cross of red marble in front of the Cathedral Church of St. George is the oldest public monument in Novi Sad.
